Job Description:
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a full-time RN Unit Supervisor for the Cardiac Vascular Neuro ICU.
This is a 16-bed unit focusing on Vascular and Neuro patient population.
Night shift position - 7:00pm-7:30am. Sign on Bonus and Relocation Bonus for eligible RNs.

A Unit Supervisor at Inova is

• A front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit; embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.

• Ensuring that care is patient centered. Continually pursues activities that will ensure smooth clinical operations/flow and compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and effective care in a holistic and evidence-based practice environment. Values and promotes collegial working relationships within and among disciplines.

Minimum qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience;

Education: BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of obtaining their BSN.

Certifications: BLS required. ACLS within 90 days.

Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Completion of RN Unit Supervisor and Charge Nurse Training within 3 months.

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of ICU RN experience
• Charge nurse or Supervisory experience
