MaineHealth Neurology is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join our practice. Join a well-established Pediatric Neurology Division of four pediatric neurologists and one APP within the Neurology Department consisting of 35+ sub-specialty trained Adult and Pediatric Neurologists, Neurohospitalists, and Advanced Practice Professionals supported by a robust clinical and administrative team.
This position is based at our facility on the MaineHealth Scarborough Campus with on-site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab. Inpatient responsibilities are at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine and throughout the state via telehealth. The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, a 96-bed hospital within Maine Medical Center, is the tertiary medical center for children serving the state of Maine and portions of New Hampshire. Medical staff represent all the pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties that provide comprehensive services for children, including a PICU, NICU, dedicated pediatric ED, and a 35-bed inpatient unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with a full spectrum of neonatal and pediatric neurological disorders.
- Interpret inpatient and outpatient EEG for neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of neurology and enhance skills and knowledge.
- Academic responsibilities include teaching Adult Neurology residents, general Pediatrics residents, Child Psychiatry fellows and medical students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
- Active and unrestricted Maine medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Neurology.
- Fellowship training in neurology.
- Active and unrestricted DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
