Interventional Neurology

Interventional Neurologist
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Neurologist to join our expanding Neuroscience Service Line in Columbus, Georgia. This is an exceptional opportunity to help establish and grow a regional neurointerventional program while collaborating with a highly respected multidisciplinary stroke and neuroscience team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering advanced cerebrovascular care, expanding access to life-saving stroke interventions, and helping shape the future of neuroscience services within one of Georgia's largest and most recognized healthcare systems.

Position Highlights

• Opportunity to build and grow a neurointerventional program in a rapidly expanding market
• Perform a full spectrum of neuroendovascular procedures, including:
• Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
• Intracranial aneurysm treatment
• Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) management
• Carotid and intracranial stenting
• Diagnostic cerebral angiography
• Other advanced cerebrovascular and endovascular interventions
• Collaborative partnership with neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, critical care, and hospital medicine teams
• State-of-the-art imaging and procedural technology
• Participation in quality initiatives and development of stroke and neurovascular protocols
• Opportunity to grow skills in leadership and program development

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Fellowship training in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology, Neurointerventional Surgery, or equivalent training
• Active Georgia medical license or ability to obtain
• Experience in comprehensive stroke care and neurovascular intervention preferred
• Commitment to quality, patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration

Piedmont Columbus Regional is comprised of two hospitals, serving a radius of more than 26 counties. The Midtown Campus is the largest of Piedmont Columbus Regional's hospitals and functions as a Level 2 Trauma Center. We also have an interventional radiology program that performs mechanical thrombectomies for acute ischemic strokes and a complement of Neurology services to include a dedicated Neuroscience floor with an attached Neuro ICU. The Northside Campus is a 100-bed, general acute care hospital that is nationally recognized for delivering outstanding clinical quality, accompanied by the highest levels of customer service.
