Job Scope & Purpose:
Our newest partner is seeking a candidate to be part of a dynamic and growing research and science driven team supporting the development of new drugs for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopmental disorder indications in rare diseases.
This position will provide scientific and project management support on key scientific activities and various other scientific touchpoints including regulatory, clinical and communications.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Support overall research strategy and execution of research goals
- Develop detailed MOA studies via scientific collaborations (both Academia and CROs).
- Develop new studies around life cycle management (assess therapeutic effects in new indications in the neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental space)
- Responsible for planning, managing, writing, and submitting scientific abstracts, manuscripts, publications and other presentation materials in collaboration with KOLs and scientific collaborators that support the company’s scientific communications in key journals, global conferences and meetings
- Identify, manage, and submit grant applications for scientific nonclinical and clinical projects
Primary Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. in neuroscience with five years working in the biotech/pharma industry in the neurology space; ideally in a research/scientific role
- Ability to critically analyze and summarize scientific data. Able to translate scientific information to a variety of different stakeholders/audiences
- Outstanding writing skills including a history of peer review published manuscripts and being awarded grant applications
- Prior experience and in-depth knowledge of effective strategies in scientific communications/publications and KOL management highly desired
- Successful management of pharmacology studies with external CROs
- This is a full-time remote position in the East Coast US
