Award-winning Stamford Health has a new opening for an epileptologist.
The Department of Neurology at Stamford Health is seeking an additional fellowship trained epileptologist committed to providing person-centered, patient centered care. This position is 100% outpatient with 50% epilepsy care and 50% general neurology. Candidate must be adept with EEG inpatient critical care video monitoring. Stamford Health is a primary teaching hospital site affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with residency programs in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery and OB/GYN. Some academic duties are required. The neurology offices are located on the Stamford Hospital campus in a modern fully updated medical office building. Loan repayment assistance is available. Through our expanded partnership with Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Stamford Health has increased its neurosurgical capabilities to treat a wider range of cerebrovascular conditions and complex stroke cases. Stamford is situated alongside the Long Island Sound in southwestern CT, one hour from NYC and LaGuardia International Airport. Downtown Stamford has a vibrant and walkable downtown with rows of restaurants, outdoor cafes and shopping and a Chelsea Piers and luxury shopping mall 10 minutes away.
Join a well-established collegial group of 6 neurologists and 2.5 neurohospitalists
36 patient contact hours and 4 hours for administrative duties
- 50/50 split of epilepsy and general neurology
- Daily schedule is a combination of outpatient clinic and reading EEGs
- Call is outpatient only, no codes, strokes or inpatient consults
- Outpatient call is low volume and phone call only

Requirements: Clinical expertise in epilepsy. MD, DO or foreign equivalent, BC/BE in Neurology, fellowship trained in epilepsy and/or clinical neurophysiology (epilepsy track). Must have an active CT Medical License or the ability to secure one.
