VASCULAR NEUROLOGIST:
The Department of Neurology, Stroke Division, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking M.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. clinician or clinician scientist with expertise in vascular neurology to join the Department at the Assistant or Associate Professor, non-tenure track level.
UMMC has a Joint Commission and State of Maryland accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and an ACGME accredited Vascular Neurology fellowship program. There is an active regional Brain Attack Team (BAT), including a tele-stroke network, and strong collaborative programs in Neuro-Intensive Care and Neuro-Interventional Radiology. NIH and VA funded research programs exist in acute stroke, vascular biology, stroke epidemiology and genetics, and stroke rehabilitation. Clinical responsibilities include acute stroke call and in/outpatient activities. Applicants must be BE/BC in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
Faculty member will participate in didactic teaching of UMSOM students, as well a Department of Neurology residents and stroke fellows. Citizenship to the department, the hospital, and the SOM in the form of participation on committees is expected.

Qualifications:
Must be eligible for Maryland licensure.
Must be BE/BC in Neurology or Vascular Neurology
Vascular neurology fellowship training is preferred.
