Weill Cornell Medicine, a world-class patient-centered and integrated academic medical center has an exciting opportunity to join the Division of Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position is for a board-certified Adult Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy to join our Level 4 NAEC accredited Comprehensive Epilepsy Center on our main campus. Our center is internationally acclaimed for pioneering achievements in research and clinical innovations. We provide a multidisciplinary approach to medically refractory epilepsy patients with the clinical support of 3 dedicated nurse practitioners, a full-time divisional practice manager, and a cross trained complement of technicians.
This position is ideally suited for an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual interested in working in a world-renowned epilepsy program that offers an excellent mix of both medical and surgical epilepsy cases. The multidisciplinary program additionally consists of dedicated fellows and both adult and pediatric neurosurgeons including a dedicated functional neurosurgeon.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE:
- Outpatient practice for adults with Epilepsy
 - Supervision of trainee epilepsy clinic
 - Routine EEG and ambulatory EEG interpretation
 - Inpatient rounds in a brand-new dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) with full-time EEG technician coverage
 - Continuous EEG interpretation
 - Intracranial EEG interpretation (SEEG, Grids/Strips)
 - Peripheral and Cranial device management (VNS, RNS, DBS)
 - Intraoperative Monitoring interpretation
 - Teaching/Mentoring of Clinical Neurophysiology fellows.
 - Weekly collaboration with cross campus faculty via multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences.
 - Opportunity for collaborative research with the support of a full-time departmental research coordinator.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduated from an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency
 - Board certification in Neurology and Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology. Preferred dual subspecialty certification
 - Fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
 - Must have strong clinical skills including presurgical workup and surgical epilepsy
 - Commitment to excellence in teaching.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 - Team player and ability to collaborate across disciplines
 - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
